Age-Friendly Institute Recognized in the Denver Post

“It also makes sense to encourage diversity in the workplace, added Driver, who is president of the Age Friendly Foundation, which took over the workplace certification. The nonprofit’s mission is to ‘support healthy, productive active aging’ as demographics continue to skew older.

Older adults are projected to outnumber children in the U.S. for the first time in history by 2030, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. One in every five citizens will be retirement age.

Business and policy makers are increasingly focused on keeping older people engaged and productive, Driver said. One answer is seeing that people who want to keep working have the opportunity to do so, he said.”
